The goal of this class is to provide a good understanding of CAD that will provide a foundation for those in the class who would like to move on to more complex models including utilization of BIM. This is a two hour course that covers the International's "Code of Excellence" policy. After completion of the course your name will be submitted to the International and you will receive a Code of Excellence Card. You will also receive a certificate upon completion. The card you receive is needed to be referred out to work in some of our sister locals.
Many workplaces contain spaces that are considered to be “confined” because their configurations hinder the activities of employees who must enter into, work in or exit from them. In many instances, employees who work in confined spaces also face increased risk of exposure to serious physical injury from hazards such as entrapment, engulfment and hazardous atmospheric conditions. This class will expose the student to the hazards of confined space and how to work in these environments. The class is 10 hours over 2 nights.

This class is a 16 hour program designed to prepare you for the emerging world of electric vehicles and the work surrounding it. At the completion of your class you will need to pass a test in order to receive your certification. Certain individuals working on electric vehicle projects will be required to hold this certification.
The student will receive an overview of fiber optic installations. Installation of buried, underground and aerial cable will be covered. Students will also become acquainted with the splicing and testing of cables, including splice closures, OLTS and OTDR testing. Lab Exercises including hands-on splicing and testing. HAZWOPER 40-hour is required for workers that perform activities that expose or potentially expose them to hazardous substances. This course is specifically designed for workers who are involved in clean-up operations, voluntary clean-up operations, emergency response operations, and storage, disposal, or treatment of hazardous substances or uncontrolled hazardous waste sites. Topics include protection against hazardous chemicals, elimination of hazardous chemicals, safety of workers and the environment and OSHA regulations. This course covers topics included in 29 CFR 1910.120.
This course teaches awareness of hazards, including asbestos, lead, mold, silica, and other materials, as well as blood-borne pathogens and other hospital-specific concerns. Trainees learn how to identify and classify work areas to best minimize risks, illness, and injury. This is an 8 hour course. This course is a must for anyone working in a hospital environment.

This 8 hour course basics of the Lull, pre operational inspection, handling procedures, load handling, stability, fueling procedures and battery/charger use. Lull training also requires site specific and application specific safety training. Each student will receive classroom instruction (video and lecture), safety test and actual hands-on operation with an evaluation. Upon successful completion of this course each student will be qualified as a Lull operator. Each student will receive a certificate of completion with operator’s card.
This 8 hour course covers all aerial equipment applications. The course will include effective instruction on basic operator safety including fall protection (body harness), operation, inspection and equipment characteristics in accordance with applicable OSHA regulations and equipment manufacturers' guidance. Each student will receive classroom instruction (video and lecture), safety test and actual hands-on operation with an evaluation. Upon successful completion of this course each student will be qualified to operate aerial platforms, aerial scissor and aerial boom equipment, and receive a certificate of completion with operator’s card.
Students in this course will learn advanced motor control circuitry through the use of ladder diagrams. A detailed analysis of motor controls circuits including forward/reverse stations and multiples start/stop stations will be covered. The class will also cover motor control trouble shooting & Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs). Various problems will be inserted into a basic system for the student to locate and repair. Students will learn both theory and hands on training in the use of PLC hardware. This is a 40 hour course. Depending on the previous knowledge and progression of this class the instructor may recommend the course be broken up in 2 different courses – level 1 and level 2.
This is a 10 hour course for MSHA (Mine Safety Health Administration) certification. The Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) is an agency of the United States Department of Labor which administers the provisions of the Federal Mine Safety and Health Act of 1977 (Mine Act) to enforce compliance with mandatory safety and health standards as a means to eliminate fatal accidents, to reduce the frequency and severity of nonfatal accidents, to minimize health hazards, and to promote improved safety and health conditions in the nation's mines. A 5 hour refresher is required every year to maintain your certification. The course is taught over 2 nights.

This 6 day, 30 hour course will explain medium voltage cable components and construction. You will learn to identify applications of different cable, learn to properly prepare cable for splicing utilizing hand tools, abrasives and solvents. You will install taped, molded and heat shrink splices on tape-shielded and jacketed cable. You will also learn how to identify the causes of splice and termination failures.
