Scholarship Opportunity - (5/1/2007)
People with epilepsy and their family members or caregivers can apply for a scholarship through the Keppra (levetiracetam) Family Epilepsy Scholarship Program, which provides financial resources to those who demonstrate academic and personal achievement.
UCB, Inc. will award 20 one-time $5,000 scholarships to people with epilepsy, and ten one-time $5,000 scholarships to family members or caregivers of people with epilepsy. To apply, you must certify that you are:
?A legal and permanent resident of the United States
?A person with epilepsy or a family member/caregiver of a person with epilepsy
?Seeking an undergraduate or graduate degree
?A student who demonstrates academic achievement, possesses a strong record of participation in activities outside of school, and serves as a positive role model
?Graduating from high school in 2007 or have already graduated from high school
?Enrolled in or awaiting acceptance from a United States-based institution of higher education for fall semester 2007
Through the scholarship program, UCB, Inc. hopes to encourage those who are affected by epilepsy to continue their education despite the day-to-day challenges that epilepsy may pose.
